"Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart walking around outside your body."Elizabeth Stone

This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Leif "Leify" Timothy Umphrey who was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA on May 8, 2008 and passed away on October 18, 2008 of SIDS/SUID (sudden unexplained infant death syndrome).  If you do not know what SIDS is please goto http://www.sids.org/ndefinition.htm (short definition) or http://www.sidsfamilies.com/index.php?sec=sidsdefinition (more detailed definition).
Leify never had the chance to experience his first Thanksgiving, Christmas, or birthday party. But he did experience immeasurable love and adoration from his parents, Auntie Marie, Uncle John, his Grandparents and the rest of his friends and family.

This website exists for the purpose of providing Leif's family and friends a place to permanently record and share with one another their cherished memories, photos, and feelings regarding the life and loss of Leif Timothy Umphrey.

For those of you who would like leave a message or memory for Leif please create an entry on the Candles, Memories, and/or Condolences pages... We love to read them, it helps us get through the day. We love you all!  And thank you so much for all of the love and support that you have given Tim, Myself, and our families.

Leif also has a gonetoosoon memorial @ http://leif.umphrey.gonetoosoon.org  but this is considered to be Leif's main memorial website.  His name has also been added to the memorial page @ http://www.sids.org/nmemory.htm#U .

He was only with us for 5 months and 10 days but Leify will forever live in our memories and our hearts.

If loved could have saved him he would have lived forever.

Most people dream of angels... I got to hold one in my arms.
